We welcome new dads

A dad keeping multiple plates spinningSo you’re an interested dad? Great – why not come along to one of our upcoming events? There are links to these on the left. Also, browse our Gallery of past events. If these inspire you, then subscribe to our emails using the form on the left, and so keep abreast of new events as and when they are announced.

All are welcome to our events, which we provide as-you-see-them, with no hidden agendas. Do come along – or rope in a friend or two who also have children, and all come along together. If you have particular needs or difficulties in attending, then do get in touch and we’ll seek to accommodate them where feasible.

A dad baking with his childrenOur activities are designed to appeal both to you and your children, and they can offer a good chance to unwind and to meet informally with other local fathers. Children come from a wide range of backgrounds and local schools so it also offers them a chance to meet others from outside their usual social circles.

Dads and children watching the Severn BoreTypically, each event attracts somewhere around 15 dads, who will bring around 35 children. In order to maintain the quality of events, and prevent them becoming too overcrowded, we normally adopt a booking system.

Some events are only suited to children of certain ages, while most are open to all. Recently, our events have tended to target children of primary school age, but that’s only because those dads who are currently offering to help organise them have children of that age. If you’d like to change that, then we always welcome new ideas, fresh volunteers and newcomers to our committee meetings. Help us appeal to an even wider audience. We’ll support good ideas with funding, marketing, advice, insurance and volunteers.
